Login or Create an Account on Medicare.gov

STEP 1: Go to the Social Security Administration

To get a new Medicare card,

Visit the Social Security Administration (SSA) website: Go to the official website of the SSA at www.ssa.gov.

STEP 2: Access Your Online Account

Access your Medicare online account: If you already have an online account, sign in with your username and password. If you don’t have an account, create one by selecting the “Sign In/Create an Account” option and following the instructions provided.

Step 3. Request a replacement card:

Once you’re logged in, navigate to the “Replacement Documents” section or a similar option, and select “Request a Replacement Medicare Card.”

4. Verify your information:

5. Submit your request:

6. Wait for your new card:

7. Contact the SSA directly:

If you prefer not to use the online method, you can contact the Social Security Administration directly by calling their toll-free number at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778). Inform them that you need a replacement Medicare card and follow their instructions.
